Pregnancy loss should never be classified as a fluke.

My husband and I recently welcomed our rainbow baby girl this past July after losing our first daughter in 2017 due to preterm labor at 25 weeks. I was having a very healthy and low risk pregnancy until my water broke unexpectedly. She lived 37 days in New York University’s NICU until she passed.

After she passed I spent a lot of time visiting doctors to get answers. I work at a company that is patient centric and empowers patients to have access to diagnostic testing. I was practicing what we preach every day at LabFinder. I became my own advocate and created my team of physicians that allowed me to have a healthy rainbow pregnancy. Pregnancy loss should never be classified as a fluke. It was really hard to talk about while we were in it and now I hope to be a source of strength for those who need support.
