After that, we pushed for immune testing (they said we weren't ideal candidates, as we weren't having reoccurring miscarriages) – which came back positive. We had our answer: High NK Cells.

MY TTC journey began in 2008. I was 27 and my husband was 30–both seemingly healthy. Three years later, when we did our first round of IVF, we only had 4 low-grade embryos. I spent the following year making dietary changes and reducing stress in my life as much as possible.

Our second round of IVF produced 5 amazing embryos, but AF showed up before I even made it to the pregnancy test. After that, we pushed for immune testing (they said we weren’t ideal candidates, as we weren’t having reoccurring miscarriages) – which came back positive. We had our answer: High NK Cells.

Our first FET resulted in an early miscarriage, so I changed up my diet again and went on the Autoimmune Protocol Diet (AIP). Our second FET produced our beautiful baby boy!

More than 8 years into our TTC journey and we’re back to stage one as we try for a second child. With our last FET, we transferred our two remaining embryos, resulting in another early miscarriage. After that last FET, we decided that we were walking away from medical intervention. This time, I know what I need to focus on and if it doesn’t happen, it’s okay. We feel overly blessed with our little man and are overjoyed to be walking away from it all with him in our arms.

After my first BFP (ever), which happened to be my first miscarriage as well, I started to open up and share my story publicly. I wanted others to be able to gain the knowledge about true fertility health, in a shorter period of time than I did. It’s given me a new purpose in life. I love supporting other women during this crazy ride.
