I decided to do an elimination diet to feel better.

My husband and I have been married for 6 years now. After 4 years of pregnancy disappointments, we were told that we have unexplained infertility. We were also told it’s time to look into adoption. Devastated, in shock, and in the middle of getting ready to move cross country, we set that piece of our lives aside.

Because I’ve had a history of health problems, including an autoimmune disorder, digestive issues, and some pesky hormones I’m often trying to rebalance. I decided to do an elimination diet to help boost my fertility, to feel better and to get healthy. My husband noticed a difference in me (and of course I did too). He wanted it for himself- so he decided to join in.

A month after he finished this “program,” we found out we were unexpectedly, by the grace of God- PREGNANT! Becoming a mother has been the best thing I could have never planned. Also, how fitting is it that my daughter was born at the end of National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW)?
