We went for our first ultrasound at 8 weeks, so excited to hear the heartbeat, but heard nothing.

We got married in 2014, and thought we’d get pregnant right away…which we didn’t. After a few months, I noticed I was not getting my period regularly and not ovulating. I made an appointment with my GYN who told me it was because I was underweight. So, I started seeing a nutritionist and doing acupuncture weekly–neither worked.

Then, I switched doctors and my new GYN diagnosed me with PCOS and suggested that Clomid would be a good option for me. After 2 months on Clomid, it finally happened- the pregnancy test read PREGNANT. We were shocked, amazed and so thrilled. Our first ultrasound was at 8 weeks. We were so excited to hear the heartbeat, but heard nothing. We went back 2 more times to check since my HCG levels were rising, but still no heartbeat. At 10 weeks, I got my D&C.

Once we could try again, we did, but had 3 failed Clomid cycles. It was then time to see a fertility specialist. 3 failed IUIs and 1 successful IVF treatment, and I am finally holding my 1 month old in my arms!
